We made yet another appointment with Robert Englund at 9am this morning. We left our hotel and got into downtown San Diego at 8:45. By 9:30 we called his publicist and told her we hadn’t moved from the front of the convention center in the last 15 minutes. “Not a problem,” she told us. “We’re here until 11:30.” To which we mention that if we were still there by 11:30 we would be jumping off the bridge that was just in our view. Ten o’clock rolled around and we were still in front of the convention center. Then we were directed to Petco Park where the Padres play. We sat in a line of cars for another hour or so. By the time we got to the front of the line – it was also full. Then all the over flow parking put up their “Lot Full” signs as well. By 11:30 we were still looking for parking yet even farther away from the convention center.
You might be thinking,”Dude, you should have gotten their earlier.” You mean like last week…earlier.
If we would have heard this story second hand we would have dismissed it as exaggeration and thought less of the teller. Horrible.
So the point of this is that we missed Robert Englund for the second time.
