The NCAI Will Ask America to 'Change the Mascot' During the Super Bowl

The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) is back to tell America to "Take It Away"

Change-the-Mascot

The FCC recently rejected the idea that “Redskins” is obscene — but just as Daniel Snyder settles in to smoke his celebratory peace pipe, here comes the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) with a commercial for Super Bowl 49.

The commercial will be a follow-up to the “Proud to Be” spot that premiered online during the Super Bowl week last year, re-aired during the NBA Finals, and got some people thinking twice about the American Indian plastered all over Washington D.C. sports paraphernalia.

Ready to help “Take It Away”?

The #ChangeTheMascot movement is something that has gotten in the craw of many a sports reporter, sensitive football fan, and even this blogger.
