This evening, The Hill joins with Jeffrey Toobin, legal analyst for CNN and The New Yorker; House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.); and former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R-Miss.) in discussion of the US electorate, voting practices and election law, and weekend voting. Following the conversation will be a broader roundtable with Rep. John Larson (D-CT); Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK); John Fund, columnist, National Review Online; and Sherrilyn Ifill, president, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, among others.
While the event is already at capacity, it’s going to be live-streamed starting at 6pm for those unable to make it in person. Given that the temperature in DC right now feels like 92* (via weather.com), avoiding a trip to Capitol Hill doesn’t sound like such a bad idea.
