The Highest-Paid Exec In All of DC Is…..

Not the CEO of Lockheed Martin, or Marriott…..but Discovery Communications’ CEO David Zaslav, who, according to a Washington Post story, earned $42.5 million in 2010.

That’s more than $10 million more than the runner up, the CEO of a home building company, and $34.5 million more than that of Gannett Co. chairman and chief executive Craig Dubow.

But outside DC, exec salaries are still higher: Viacom chief exec Philippe Dauman drew $84.5 million in 2010, the biggest compensation package in corporate America, the LA Times said.

Dauman’s number two, Thomas E. Dooley, received $64.7 million, and CBS Corp CEO Leslie Moonves brought in $57.7 million.
