The Future of 3D Interface is Literally Smoke and Mirrors
Touchscreens, holograms, and keyboards have nothing on this fog machine and tabletop display in one. Dubbed the MisTable, the fog-like, 3D projections are see through, and llows user interaction unlike 2D systems like your smartphone. You can use the 2D screen to presenting visual information whilst simultaneously presenting a 3D, malleable, and interoperable mist.
The research table comes from the University of Bristol’s researchers, led by led by Professor Sriram Subramanian and Dr Diego Martinez Plasencia from the Department of Computer Science.
