The Financial Times is for Sale

Pink print can be expensive.

Interest in owning a salmon pink—or bisque, if you’e feeling sassy—newspaper is apparently at an all-time high. According to Bloomberg, Pearson Plc is exploring a sale of the Financial Times after receiving several inquiries.

Rumors of the FT’s sale have been floating around for years. Back in 2012, reports circulated that Bloomberg, News Corporation and Reuters were all interested in buying the paper.

Now the name being thrown around is European juggernaut Axel Springer. That really doesn’t mean much, seeing as AS is seemingly always included in media acquisition rumors.

If Pearson does sell the FT, the asking price will likely exceed $1.5
