It’s one thing to boast about your Tetris skills to friends, it’s another thing to beat those same friends while earning huge coin payouts at the same time.

That’s what’s new in EA’s Tetris Blitz, as the game introduces tournaments where Tetris gamers compete against each other in limited-time events, each offering unique rules and leaderboards.

Options include both shorter and longer time limits, double power-ups, faster drop speeds, and even non-stop frenzy.

Also included in the game’s latest update is a new energy system for tournaments, tournament leaderboards, player profiles and tournament identities, an updated user interface, and a news feature that enables gamers to keep up to date about current and upcoming tournaments and challenges.
