Telus Readying MVNO for Teens?

Canada’s Globe and Mail reports that Telus is planning a new youth-oriented cell phone brand called Koodo Mobile to compete with rival services Virgin Mobile Canada and Fido brands.

The paper also says that Telus has registered the Koodo Mobile name in several Canadian provinces and has snagged the Internet domain.

Telus first attempted to tackle the Canadian youth market in partnership with US-based MVNO Amp’d Mobile, but that flopped when Amp’d went belly-up.
