“Are you sick of hearing it yet? Sick of having to ditch your vacation plans, don last season’s sandals, and skimp on monthly pedicures? Or maybe you’re worried about making car payments, paying your college tuition, and you’re racking up thousands of dollars in credit card debt. No matter who you are, where you are, or what you dounemployment sucks.”
So “funemployed” intern Katie Wilkes created Unemploymints, which you can now buy for $2.50 plus shipping at Unemploymints.com.
Wilkes, according to her site, is a “23-year-old, frequently unemployed gradute from Lehigh University. She enjoys bargain hunting, happy hour, and sending monthly checks to Sallie Mae.” And if her LinkedIn is to be believed, she’s on her third internship and was editor-in-chief of her school’s literary journal. The market’s apparently bad enough that young (cheap) experienced (three internships!) people can’t get jobs in media.
At least we have fresh breath.
