Ted Cruz Apologizes for Poorly Timed Biden Joke

His son hasn't even been buried yet...

They say comedy is all about timing. If that’s the case, Ted Cruz isn’t much of a comedian.

Only days after the death of Beau Biden, son of Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Cruz (R-TX) thought it wise to crack a rehashed “joke” he’s been using about the Veep at a campaign event in Howell, MI on Wednesday.

“Vice President Joe Biden,” Cruz said to a smattering of awkward laughter. “You know the nice thing? You don’t need a punch line.”

The Biden family, currently mourning the loss of their family member, will hold funeral services for Beau on Thursday. The
