Infegy, a “provider of social media intelligence technology for marketing and research professionals,” puts out an annual list that some businesses anticipate in order to gauge what they have to do to keep up with the Joneses.
The answer: so very, very much.
The list is “The World’s 50 Most Popular Brands,” and its rather stylish and interactive report analyzes more than 800 such companies to determine which ones rule the world in terms of related discussions, growth, topical references, and share of voice.
The answers may — or may not — surprise you.
“As the popularity of online and social brands gains momentum, this report shows how the world is changing and how a new generation is interacting with and responding to brands,” said Justin Graves, CEO and founder of Infegy. “Marketers will need to make adjustments to their campaigns and initiatives in order to strategically reach consumers in a positive and engaging manner.”
What’s clear is that The Internet and the folks who run it have fashioned themselves a snazzy product. It’s like a toy that never quite gets old — even when you have to pay for an upgrade.
