“A new television show premieres, and changes the world…” said Colbert in the intros of his inaugural episode, more than 9 years ago.
Comedy Central will be running past episodes throughout the day, until a new episode of “The Daily Show” — followed by “The Colbert Report” finale. Colbert will be off the air until August or September, when he will return as the host of CBS’ “Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
