Fox News Channel announced it will run special coverage of the memorials and funeral of Pres. Gerald Ford from Friday, December 29 through Wednesday, January 3rd. According to the release, coverage will include guests arriving for the memorial at St. Margarets Church in Palm Springs, California, President Fords arrival in Washington, D.C., the processional and the funeral in Grand Rapids.
ABC News also announced that it will broadcast live coverage of ceremonies planned for Ford in California, Washington, D.C., and Michigan, noting that “regular programming will be interrupted throughout the week as events warrant.”
Martin Plissner, former executive political director of CBS News, looks back at the relationship between the White House and the press corps over the past 50 years in his own “stroll down memory lane.”
E&P reports that Bob Woodward’s “telling interview with former president Gerald Ford” was a last minute add to the Washington Post’s Ford coverage, “a last-minute article that the writer penned on Wednesday.”
