On Thursday, some Capitol Hill scribes will be at Union Pub for Lame Duck Drinks, but they may want to later swing by the Capitol Lounge where GOP aides and lobbyists will be busy imbibing and “taking it back” as they’ve been known to do in the past (i.e. potentially a great setting for reporters to get GOP flack types to spill their guts).
In the mix of party planners is Dave Natonski, former press secretary to Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Ill.) and now at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce comm dept., and Chris Gindlesperger, director of communications at the American Beverage Assoc. and former comm director for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
The Facebook invitation reads:
Republicans have taken back the House. But one precinct’s results haven’t come in yet. Please join your fellow Republicans for one final get-out-the-vote effort that’s been long overdue – taking back the Lounge. Come out and show your support and for the type of change that will buy you a wing or two.
Time: 6:30 p.m. to close
