Tabs, Quizzes, Newspapers, Skype, Spotify, “Twilight” and More on This Week’s Top 20 Growing Facebook Apps by MAU

A pair of Page tab applications, as well as several quiz app and three newspaper apps made up most of our list of the fastest growing apps by monthly active users this week. Then there were other apps, such as Skype and Spotify, as well as Yahoo’s Connect app, horoscopes and the “Twilight” movie app. The titles on our list gained the most MAU of any apps on the platform, growing from between 300,000 and 14.8 million MAU, based on AppData, our data tracking service covering traffic growth for apps on Facebook. Then there were the newspaper apps: Washington Post Social Reader with 900,000 MAU, The Guardian with 400,000 MAU and The Independent with 400,000 MAU also. The rest of the list included Profile Banner (all languages) with 1.5 million MAU; the app makes a connected photo with the pictures on a user’s profile, generating a feed feed stories in the process. Yahoo grew by 1.3 million MAU, Skype by 700,000 MAU, horoscope app Horóscopo Diário by 600,000 MAU and Spotify by 600,000 MAU. Then contest app ShareAndTell.com grew by 500,000 MAU and the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 app grew by 390,000 MAU, the app helps users access content and showtimes for the film.
