In an unsurprising survey result, the word “poop” is Word of the Year for 7 year-old boys for the 26th consecutive time.
Hats off to Edelman’s Francis Rothchild for this providing this lovely quote in a written statement:
“The 7-year-olds once again cited the word’s versatility, its utility and its sheer elegance. It works as a noun, a verb, an adjective and, of course, an interjection. It’s a classic of the genre.”
We’ll update the post as soon as we know what the heck Edelman represents here. I suppose it is possible the largest independent PR firm represents all 7 year-old children–a wise consumer strategy for reaching a demographic early.
