Seriously; kudos to Verizon, the NFL and the operators of the Empire State Building for coming up with the following promotion:
Twitter responses with the hashtag #WhosGonnaWin will be monitored, and lighting guru Marc Brickman will transform the debate “into a spectacular nightly show” atop the iconic Manhattan skyscraper.
Presumably, no matter how active certain hashtagged observations may turn out to be, this promotional gang will not be presenting either “The Richard Sherman Show” or a “States That Love Weed” tribute extravaganza.” Nonetheless, this week is going to be a Super Bowl lead-up like none other and the hour-long 6 p.m. light shows starting tonight a top-tier beacon.
The Empire State effort is being described as “the first-ever social-media driven light shows.” It’s also a cue for planetariums from coast to coast. FishbowlNY is now counting the days until folks in Colorado, Washington and-or elsewhere get to crowd-source a Pink Floyd laser light show.
As far as our answer to #WhosGonnaWin, it involves the team with the guy who has hinted he may retire “Omaha! Omaha!” after this Sunday’s game. Sorry, coffee lovers!
