Study: New Yorkers Don't Like to Read
Amazon.com has sorted through various data from purchases made on the site and come up with the 20 most well-read cities. The study took into account book, magazine and newspaper sales – in print and Kindle format – since January.
Apparently Cambridge, Massachusetts, has a lot of readers – or at least a lot of people who shop on Amazon – because it came in at number one. New York? We didn’t even make the list.
We’re going to go ahead and chalk that up to having plenty of independent bookstores to shop at so we don’t even need to use Amazon so there! We’re not bitter.
