Studio 60 Death Watch?

The ratings demise of Studio 60 puts NBC in a tricky spot. Critics love it. “Hardcore fans” love it. [EDITOR’S NOTE: Don’t “hardcore fans” love anything, hence, their hardcoreness?] It is written by Aaron Sorkin, the well-regarded West Wing creator.

But, as the Wall Street Journal reports, viewers who do watch it are the kind of viewers John Kerry says don’t go to Iraq — “viewers with four years of college” — a “dream audience for advertisers.”

Meanwhile, Studio 60 has climbed to #5 on the NBC Universal-owned BrilliantButCancelled.com “Death Watch” list at 15:1 death odds. They’re probably being kind.
