Mobile game company Storm8 has announced the release of Hungry Babies Mania on iOS devices. The level-based match-three game challenges players to create matches with the right food symbols to feed baby animals by swapping the locations of two touching symbols to create lines of three or more identical items.
Each level of Hungry Babies Mania challenges players to feed one or more animals specific amounts of certain foods, but levels offer different challenges (including move limits) which may prevent players from achieving this goal. For instance, one level may ask players to wake sleeping babies so they can be fed, by making matches next to alarm clocks. Another level may ask players to make matches next to dirt squares to uncover peanuts, and so on.
When players create matches of four or more symbols, or those in special T, L or square shapes, they create power-ups capable of clearing large groups of food from the board. Gamers earn up to three stars on each stage, depending on their score, and can compare their scores with their friends’ scores via Facebook and Game Center integration.
If players fail to complete a level before running out of moves, they lose a life. These lives recharge automatically over time, can be sent for free between friends or can be purchased with premium currency.
In a statement, Storm8 CEO, Perry Tam, commented:
Our goal is to bring a little joy into players’ everyday lives. We developed Hungry Babies Mania to include characters that will put a smile on their faces, with thoughtfully designed puzzles that provide both a fun and challenging experience. We think players are going to fall in love with these adorable hungry babies, and we hope they’ll be just the thing to bring a moment of happiness into any day.
