Steve Stoute, the music industry veteran and CEO of the marketing firm Translation, has joined Genius’ board of directors.
Prior to founding Translation in 2004, Stoute served as a senior executive at Sony and Interscope Geffen A&M Record. He has worked with a variety of popular, iconic musicians, like Nas and Mariah Carey. Stoute is also a New York Times best-selling author.
“Steve Stoute’s experience across entertainment, sports, tech, and advertising is unmatched, but it’s his ability to buck tradition and supercharge new movements at the intersections of those industries that resonates with us most,” said Genius co-founders, Tom Lehman and Ilan Zechory, in a statement.
