Stephen Colbert is taking the 80 staffers of ”The Colbert Report” on the road to cover the Pennsylvania Democratic Primary. From Monday, April 14 through Thursday, April 17 The Colbert Report will be taping from The Annenberg Center for the Performing Art’s Zellerbach Theatre at the University of Pennsylvania. In a press release from Comedy Central, Colbert is quoted as saying, ”the road to the Democratic nomination goes through Pennsylvania and I intend to make my show the decisive pothole on that road! .. Plus, it’s just across the river from Camden, New Jersey!”
The Colbert Report’s special Pennsylvania coverage will partner with the charity DonorsChoose.org, allowing donors to fund programs in public schools in all 50 states directly. During Colbert’s previous on-air push when he ran on the Democratic ballot in South Carolina he raised $66,000 and helped 17,000 public school students in the Palmetto state. This time, Colbert will assist public schools in Pennsylvania.
