Stations Rush to Cover Firing of Cathie Black Special Report

It was a tumultous time from day one for Cathie Black as the New York City Schools Chancellor. Today, after brief rumbling of rumors, Mayor Bloomberg took to the City Hall podium to announce Black was out after just three months on the job. He called it a mutual decision between the two, and appointed Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott as chancellor.

The city stations were there to carry the breaking news just after 11:35 a.m. WCBS-TV, WNBC, WNYW, and WABC broke into regular coverage.
