President Trump’s National Anthem Mention During the State of the Union Rocked Twitter

Reactions to Facebook livestreams from Fox News, ABC News painted different pictures

President Donald Trump’s 2018 State of the Union address sparked some 4.5 million tweets Tuesday night, eclipsing the previous record of 3 million for Trump’s first address to a joint session of Congress last Feb. 28.

Twitter said in a Twitter Government tweet that the three most-tweeted moments during Trump’s speech Tuesday night were:

  1. “We stand for the National Anthem.”
  2. Discussion of immigration reform proposals.
  3. Discussion of MS-13.

And the most-tweeted-about people during the SOTU were:

  1. Trump
  2. Former President Barack Obama
  3. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan

Finally, the most-retweeted tweet was Trump’s invitation to join him for the address:
