PayPal VP of Growth Stan Chudnovsky Joins Facebook as Product Manager for Messenger

PayPal vice president of growth Stan Chudnovsky will join Facebook in February as product manager of its Messenger applications, reporting to a familiar face: VP of messaging products David Marcus, who left his post as president of PayPal in June to join the social network.

Re/code broke the news of Chudnovsky’s hiring, saying that while he and Marcus overlapped at PayPal for about one year, Chudnovsky was not focused on the payments side of the business, and adding that he was recruited not by Marcus, but by co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and VP of growth and analytics Javier Olivan.
