Staff Changes and an Addition at National Journal

Erin Durkin joins, Andrea Drusch and Adam Wollner move to the congressional reporting team.

National Journal is making some moves in preparation for covering next year’s new Congress.

Erin Durkin is joining National Journal as a health care reporter for National Journal Daily. Durkin, whose first day will be Oct. 24, is coming over from Inside Health Policy, where she has been a reporter and managing editor of FDA Week.

Andrea Drusch, who currently is a Senator correspondent for Hotline, is moving over to NJ’s congressional reporting team following the elections. “Andrea has done a terrific job covering Senate races for us, so it seems natural to have her focus her energies on the Senate when she goes to the Capitol,” write editor in chief Steve Smith and managing editor Ben Pershing is a note to staff.

Joining Drusch on the congressional team will be Adam Wollner, who will be covering foreign policy and defense, “vitally important topics we’ve been eager to add to our policy portfolio.” Wollner has been covering the presidential campaign.
