Spotify is asking listeners to check out a set of Tech Puzzles located on the music service’s website, where the feature appears within the jobs section.
The ads promoting these puzzles don’t refer to them as a recruitment tool, but Spotify’s website makes it clear that folks who supply the best answers can become job candidates.
This tactic is very similar to the challenge section on the careers portion of Facebook’s site, and to a lesser extent reminiscent of the Hacker Cup, although we have no data on whether the social network’s recruiters interview or hire the winners.
Also, we find it interesting that Spotify is promoting these Tech Puzzles with advertisements aired to nonsubscribers.
