Spin the Agencies of Record

  • The Bitcoin Foundation hired DC’s Thorsen French Advocacy to handle its lobbying needs. According to PR Week, the agency will help introduce Bitcoin to sympathetic lawmakers. Our advice: keep the Winklevoss twins far, far away–and don’t post the pictures on Guest of a Guest.
  • App maker TigerLogic chose Horn Group as its agency of record for the “fan activation and social visualization platform” product Postano, which helps clients get visual with their social content by putting all available networks in one place but doesn’t let us watch a free demo.
  • Wall Street Communications will be PR AOR for global investment bank MediaBridge Capital Advisors, providing media relations and content marketing services to help MediaBridge promote its own roster of media tech clients.
  • Mobile app and game maker Monster Arts, Inc. went with Miami’s Max Borges Agency. The two have something of an established relationship as MBA previously provided PR services to Monster partner Iconosys. The firm’s goal will be to raise awareness of and sales for products like Potsweeper, which really does look like it would be better with friends.
  • Boca Raton’s The Gab Group will be the AOR for a couple of very different clients: VIPwinkwhich promises to give tweeters special privileges even if they don’t have a verified check(!)–and Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Miami, where dinner would taste especially good after a friendly game of Potsweeper.
