We’ve been known to skewer Spin magazine from time to time, particularly when they stray away from coverage of what made the magazine one of our favorites in the mid-1990s: music. We haven’t done that lately, mainly because they’ve gotten back to covering music, Johnny Knoxville covers notwithstanding.
Today, though, Spin.com is treating the fake band on Lost as a real one, featuring DriveShaft as its “coveted ‘Band of the Day.'” (If it is, in fact, “coveted,” we’re sure real bands won’t mind.)
Spin, of course, is not the only media outlet to enable or fall victim to, your choice Lost‘s viral marketing mash-ups.
