Southland Publishing Acquires The Argonaut
Southland Publishing, Inc. has acquired the Westside weekly newspaper, The Argonaut.
Founded in 1971, The Argonaut serves Santa Monica, Marina del Rey, Playa del Rey, Westchester, Playa Vista, Del Rey, Mar Vista and Venice.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to bring The Argonaut into our family of newspapers,” David Comden, Southland’s vice president of operations, said in a statement. Comden will act as publisher.
In addition to The Argonaut, Southland Publishing also publishes the Pasadena Weekly, San Diego CityBeat and the Ventura County Reporter.
