GameLoft’s HTML5 based 3D racing game GT Racing: Motor Academy and Disney Playdom’s Gardens of Time are now both available Google+. The social network now has 34 games. Kixeye Recruitment Takes to BART - Kixeye is beginning an aggressive hiring spree, unveiling some playful recruitment posters on San Francisco’s Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) trains. The ads are based on the internet meme Insanity Wolf and read simply “Work at Kixeye, Be Awesomer.” Kabam Teams with Pokki to Turn its Social Games into Desktop Apps - Players of Dragons of Atlantis, EdgeWorld, The Godfather: Five Families and Thirst of Night no longer have to open a browser to play thanks to a partnership between Kabam and SweetLabs, makers of the Pokki desktop app platform. The games are available as individual Pokki apps or as a four game bundle, and will include real time in-game notifications. Seattle-based GameHouse Going International With New Office - RealNetwork’s social gaming division GameHouse is opening a new office. The company’s foray into Facebook games has been a success, revenues growing at triple digit rates, according to a GameHouse press release. The new office will be in Victoria, BC and will double the company’s headcount to 45. Google+ Adds New Users Slowly, but Surely - According to new numbers released by comScore, Google+ registered 67 million unique visitors in November, up from 65 million in October. Akamai Buys Contendo - Cambridge-based Akamai has bought out its competitor Contendo, in a deal worth more than $268 million in cash and stock options. Contendo is a cloud services company that counts Zynga and Facebook among its clients, according to TechCrunch. Facebook Trivia Game Triviador now has Spanish, US Versions - Hungarian developer THX Games has released US and Spanish versions of its Facebook trivia/strategy game Triviador. According to AppData, the original version of the game has grown to 280,000 MAU and 30,000 DAU. The US version, which allows players to compete on behalf of their state, is up to 20,000 MAU and 7,000 DAU since its release on the 16th of December. [Funding] WI Harper Group Invests in HTML5 Leader Leiyoo - Chinese VC firm WI Harper has invested an undisclosed amount of Series A funding in fellow Chinese company Leiyoo. The company holds several HTML 5patents and is developing a proprietary HTML5-based platform for mobile phones and social networks. [Release] Words With Friends With Nooks - Zynga’s ultra-popular cross-platform scrabble game, Words With Friends is now available on the Barnes & Noble Nook eReader. The game was previously available on Android, iOS, Facebook, Google+, Tencent, Google TV and the Kindle Fire.
