Snapchat Just Introduced a Snap Camera App for Desktops

Mac and Windows users get access to lenses and a special integration with Twitch

Why should mobile users have all of the fun? Snapchat Friday introduced Snap Camera, a free application for Mac and Windows desktops that brings thousands of the messaging application’s lenses to those devices.

Classic lenses from Snapchat can be used, as well as lenses created by the app’s Lens Creator community via its Lens Studio.

Snapchat accounts are not required to download and use Snap Camera, and there is no way to log into Snapchat via the desktop app.

Once downloaded, the Snap Camera app syncs with cameras connected to desktop devices, and the app is compatible with video-sharing platform and apps including YouTube, Skype, Google Hangouts and OBS.
