Smithsonian Releases Shortlist of Architects to Build Museum of African American History

Elsewhere in the museum world, while the Smithsonian begins their latest phase of penny pinching under the watchful hawk eyes of G. Wayne Clough, they also have expanding to with their newest outlet, the Museum of African American History and Culture, which is still very early in the planning phases. But now they have inched ever closer to their planned 2015 opening by announcing that they have selected a shortlist of contenders for the architects to build them something to house the collection.
