Smithsonian magazine is getting ready to launch The Future Is Here, a new conference focusing on science, technology, engineering and math innovations. The conference is set take place on June 1 at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C. with a list of notable speakers including astronaut Buzz Aldrin, astrophysicist John Mather and ocean explorer Bob Ballard. Each of the day’s presenters—14 in all—will give a 10-minute presentation about a topic in his or her field, according to the magazine.
The conference’s theme will also extend to print and digital platforms.
