Slate EIC Weisberg Names Trinity To Lead Ladyblog Double X

Slate announced last week that it would launch a new blog for women dubbed Double X. FishbowlNY spoke to Slate chairman and editor-in-chief Jacob Weisberg and learned who’d be (wo)manning the Double X team, and what he makes of other woman-focused online outlets.

Rather than select a single editor-in-chief for Slate’s newest venture, Weisberg is “going with a triumvarate:” Emily Bazelon, Meghan O’Rourke, and Hanna Rosin, all of whom will serve as “co-editors.” Bazelon and O’Rourke are frequent Slate contributors, while veteran journalist Rosin (who happens to be married to Slate managing editor David Plotz) has written for The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and New York.
