Skype for Windows Phone 7 Now Out of Beta

The Skype app for Windows Phone 7 officially dropped its beta label on Sunday after 2 months of public testing feedback.

The new update improves stability and fixes some bugs. It also adds the ability to search for and add new contacts as well as call landline numbers with the app over 3G & Wifi. But the app is missing one key ability; it cannot be run in the background.

It also reportedly still has battery issues as well as hefty minimum hardware requirements, and that’s going to limit its usability.
