Site Selection Committee Recommends Cleveland as 2016 Host City for RNC

Screen Shot 2014-07-08 at 12.18.55The Republican National Committee’s Site Selection Committee today announced its support for Cleveland as the 2016 convention host city. The final running was between the Ohio city on Lake Erie and Dallas. In June, Denver and Kansas City were eliminted as possible host cities.

The RNC and Cleveland will now enter into exclusive negotiations regarding the city’s bid to host the 2016 convention. And at an August meeting in Chicago, the Site Selection Committee will present their recommendation to the RNC.
