Gary Sinise, who stars as Det. Mac Taylor on CBS’s “CSI: New York,” is announcing the creation of the The Gary Sinise Foundation at a National Press Club luncheon on Thursday, June 30.
The foundation honors service members, vets, first responders, their families, and those in need by supporting unique programs designed to “entertain educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities.”
From the release: Sinise, who received an Academy Award nomination for Best Support Actor for his portrayal of Lt. Dan in the Oscar-winning film “Forrest Gump,” will also discuss the award-winning feature length film, “Lt. Dan Band: For the Common Good,” which chronicles Sinise and his band as they travel around the world performing for the nation’s military.
