Simon & Schuster's Website is Now Optimized For Mobile

Simon & Schuster Digital has relaunched the company’s website with newly redesigned home pages and mobile optimization.

The sites were built using responsive design, a tool which will automatically format the content for the device that the reader is opening it on, be it a phone, tablet or a laptop. According to the publisher, in 2012 only 11 percent of web traffic came from mobile devices. This year, 26 percent of traffic comes from mobile devices and the publisher expects that number to grow.

The new site also includes a number of new author promotional elements such as a showcase of authors Q&As and blog posts, author appearance schedules, as well as links to become a fan of an author.
