Brooklyn and company helped lift Sports Illustrated Web site to its second highest traffic day on record.
SI.com’ drew nearly 3.7 million unique users on Tuesday (Feb. 9), marking the second-largest audience in the site’s history and its largest Swimsuit digital launch ever, according to SI.com’s internal figures.
The site’s Swimsuit coverage, which featured cover girl Brooklyn Decker, just missed topping the site’s previous one-day traffic record set on Feb. 15, 2007, according to officials. But in terms of video, SI.com set several new milestones.
The 100-plus Swimsuit-related videos on the site were streamed a record 7 million times by 2.3 million unique viewers. That audience figure was 85 percent larger than the 1.25 million unique video viewers reached by SI.com during the comparable day last year. The site’s
Swimsuit content also generated 42.2 million page views, a surge of 14 percent versus last year. Overall SI.com delivered 54 million page views, the second most in the site’s history, said officials.
