Another hoax has gone viral on Facebook, this one claiming that the social network will donate $0.45 for every user who shares a message about a 14-year-old boy who was shot six times by his stepfather.

Sophos’ Naked Security blog reported on the hoax, which is similar to one that spread around Facebook in late 2011, saying that the message reads (unedited):

A 14 YEAR OLD BOY WAS SHOT 6 TIMES BY HIS STEPFATHER. THIS BOY WAS PROTECTING HIS LITTLE 6 YEAR OLD SISTER WHO WAS ABOUT TO BE RAPED BY THIS POOR… EXCUSE OF A MAN.
