Looks like the WaPo.com folks won’t get the “Special to the Washington Post” byline accorded to freelancers anymore; they’ll get “Washington Post Staff Writer.”

Colleagues,
Effective immediately, bylines of all full-time editorial staffers of washingtonpost.com should simply reflect who they are: Washington Post Staff Writer(s). This will apply to all bylines we use online and in print, both when we reverse publish original web content in the paper and when online staffers contribute directly to the newspaper.
