Schieffer At Bat
The minor-league Fort Worth Cats are holding a Bob Schieffer Appreciation Night to induct the Schieffer into the team’s hall of fame. According to TVNewser, the June 16 ceremony at LaGrave Field will be commemorated with a bobble-head doll in Schieffer’s likeness.
Schieffer will become the first media figure to be named a Legend of LaGrave. More from TVNewser: “Though Schieffer has received numerous awards and is critically acclaimed for his journalism career, he says, ‘this is the greatest thrill of my life, the greatest honor I’ve ever received.'”
