Scary Ghosts Come To Life In New Augmented Reality App From Goosebottom Books

We’ve seen apps where playful little characters come to life for kids to interact with with, but Horrible Hauntings, a new app from Goosebottom Books uses augmented reality to make ghosts jump off the pages of a book.

The app, which is a companion to the upcoming book Horrible Hauntings by Goosebottom’s founder Shirin Bridges, turns books into 3-D experiences. By pointing a device at the book, app users can see  the Headless Horseman jump off of the page of a spooky forest, and the ghost of Abraham Lincoln float above an illustration of the Oval Office.
