Cohn & Wolfe has launched an online campaign for pro bono client Project Kaisei to raise money to aid in the effort to rid the oceans of plastic debris. The “Save Kai” campaign (pronounced “k-eye”) is a 30-day effort that tracks a lone goldfish, navigating a world filled with plastic bottles. The livestream is attached above, but you can check it out on the campaign’s Facebook page, where you can also click to donate. The more money donated, the more plastic is removed from Kai’s living space.
The campaign is being executed through C&W’s North American and EMEA offices, and will end after World Oceans Day on June 10.
The campaign is a result of C&W’s “Dig Deeper. Imagine More. Day,” a day of brainstorming in 15 of C&W’s offices. Staff were challenged to come up with a campaign on behalf of Project Kaisei that would cost $1,000 or less, could be executed in 30 days, and would raise 10 times what the client’s next expedition would cost.
