Salman Rushdie, Padma Lakshmi Hit Splitsville

Less than a week after the New York Post reported marital problems for Salman Rushdie and Padma Lakshmi, we received the news that the couple are getting divorced. Publicist Jin Auh gets the terse public statement award: “Salman Rushdie has agreed to divorce his wife, Padma Lakshmi, because of her desire to end their marriage.” But as for Top Chef host Lakshmi, if we’re to believe the Post, she’s been having an affair with a “well known chef” and involved with an “unidentified billionaire.”
