Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced earlier this week that the social network’s Safety Check feature would be enabled for “human disasters,” and sadly, he quickly got the chance to put his money where his mouth is.

Zuckerberg announced in a Facebook post Tuesday that Safety Check was activated following a terrorist bombing at a marketplace in the city of Yola, Nigeria.

He wrote:

We’ve activated Safety Check again after the bombing in Nigeria this evening.

After the Paris attacks last week, we made the decision to use Safety Check for more tragic events like this going forward.
