Sacramento Bee Swaps Out Female Executive Editors

With the announcement that 2007-11 Sacramento Bee executive editor Melanie Sill is on her way to USC’s Annenberg School for a six-month executive-in-residence stint, the newspaper has revealed that current managing editor Joyce Terhaar (pictured) is being promoted to take her place.

The 51-year-old Terhaar, a native of Minnesota, has worked at the Bee since 1988. She officially takes over for the 52-year-old Sill on May 6th, and will also hold the title of senior vice president.
