Word is out that a memorial service for murdered NYT reporter David Rosenbaum will be held Friday, January 13th, at 10:30 a.m. in Room G-50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
“A large crowd is expected, so please allow time to clear security and to sign one of the guest books as you arrive,” bureau chief Philip Taubman wrote. “For those who see this announcement in New York or elsewhere and are not familiar with Washington geography, the Dirksen Building is a five-minute walk from Union Station. It is roughly a 40-minute taxi ride (in heavy morning traffic), or 40 minute Metro ride, from Reagan National Airport. The nearest Metro stop is Union Station.”

According to the email: “David and his brother and sister-in-law set up the Rosenbaum Family Fund in 1997 at the Community Foundation of the National Capital Region. The Rosenbaum Family Fund supports critically needed services for women and children in the District of Columbia.”
