Spokesman's 'Rumor' Excuse is Flimsy
American Majority Action’s 23-year-old spokesman Ron Meyer has landed himself in hot water as of late for announcing on Fox News that House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) knew about a coup against him and would resign.
Now there’s more.
Not only was none of that true — Boehner never planned to resign; he also didn’t entirely know about the various coups — large and small — being organized last week as some in his Caucus struggled to decide if they wanted him back.
But on Twitter, Meyer defended himself, insisting he was only reporting a “rumor.”
